Popular social media influencer Tunde Olaluwa Adekunle, widely known as Tunde Ednut, has expressed his disbelief in the concept of karma following the death of former Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away in London on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
Taking to his Instagram page, Tunde Ednut questioned why politicians appear to escape consequences despite the suffering endured by everyday Nigerians during their administrations.
He argued that leaders, regardless of the controversy surrounding their governance, often live privileged lives, receive world-class healthcare abroad, and accumulate wealth without repercussions.
“Karma Doesn’t Exist for Politicians”
In his words:
“There is definitely no karma for politicians. Karma does not exist. Live a good life, good abroad health care, make all the money in the world while your citizens dey suffer.
Finally fly abroad and kpai peacefully for private hospital abroad. E never finish? Buhari enjoyed his life and lived 82 years, he escaped all consequences. There is no such thing as karma. It doesn’t exist.”
A Call for Personal Integrity
Tunde Ednut encouraged Nigerians not to rely on the concept of karma to deliver justice but instead focus on living with integrity and compassion. He noted that the harsh realities of governance in Nigeria rarely affect those in power, who often retire in peace without facing any legal or moral reckoning.
His post has since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions online. While some agreed with his perspective, others maintained their belief in divine justice and long-term accountability.
