Nollywood actress Tope Osoba has officially announced her return to the screen following a courageous and life-changing battle with breast cancer.

In an emotional video shared on Instagram on Monday, the 39-year-old Yoruba film star teared up as she thanked her fans, supporters, and loved ones for their unwavering prayers and encouragement during her health ordeal.

Captioning the video, Tope wrote:

She revealed that her new chapter will focus not only on acting but also on cancer awareness, healing, and empowerment. The actress expressed gratitude to her new management team for their support, saying she is open to fresh opportunities—ranging from endorsements to film roles and event collaborations.

Surviving Breast Cancer: Her Brave Journey

Tope Osoba was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2024 after discovering a lump during a routine self-examination. Although her initial doctor dismissed the growth as hormonal, the lump eventually enlarged, prompting further tests that confirmed it was cancerous.

She underwent her first surgery in November 2024 to remove the tumor. However, a second procedure was recommended to eliminate residual cancer cells, with the total treatment cost projected at ₦12 million.

After going public with her diagnosis, the actress received an outpouring of support from the Nollywood community. Celebrities like Foluke Daramola and Alesh Sanni amplified her plea for help, and fans rallied around her.

Fortunately, after additional scans, doctors confirmed the cancer had not spread, and chemotherapy was no longer required. She was placed on radiation therapy and has since been declared cancer-free.
