Tina Knowles has revealed that her daughter Beyoncé occasionally calls her out for oversharing on social media.
While appearing on the Sibling Revelry podcast hosted by Kate Hudson, Tina Knowles was asked how it felt watching her granddaughters, Blue Ivy, 13, and Rumi, 8, join Beyoncé on stage during the Cowboy Carter Tour.
The proud grandmother shared that she always feels thrilled watching her family perform and can’t resist posting photos and videos online.
“I’m the biggest cheerleader. I post 25 videos, and then I get a call, and Beyoncé will be like, ‘Mama, can you not post so much? Like c’mon now, when are you ever going to stop posting? You’re doing too much,'” she said.
Still, Tina Knowles maintained that she’s Beyoncé’s number one fan.
“I never want to be jaded about it or take it for granted, it’s still really exciting for me,” the 71-year-old said. “I just think about how blessed we are to be passionate about something and for it to come to life like that. I mean, I don’t take it for granted. Ever.”
She also reflected on their mother-daughter relationship, admitting that while they are close, they sometimes clash.
“It’s great and it’s fun, but I’m glad (the tour is) over. It’s her show, it’s her stuff. She runs the show and I’m just like everybody else in terms of being there to support her. But sometimes, you know, we go at it, because we are mother and daughter, and we have differences in opinion. I have sense enough to know, that’s her stuff. We get along really, really well.”
Beyoncé wrapped up the Cowboy Carter Tour in July, which broke more than 40 venue records and became the highest-grossing country music tour in history.
