Controversial relationship therapist Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has spoken out against the arrest of her fiancé, popular auto dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, also known as IVD.
IVD was reportedly arrested by the Lagos State Police Command at the airport while attempting to travel to Qatar. His arrest is linked to the ongoing investigation into the 2022 domestic violence case involving the tragic death of his wife, Bimbo Ogbonna.
In a series of emotional posts shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Blessing CEO defended IVD, claiming he is innocent and being unjustly persecuted.
“They are pushing me so hard. I will drop this love and come out with my full garment,” she wrote.
“They are bullying IVD, and it’s getting out of hand. IVD is innocent. I am not a coward. These people are using my man, and I won’t tolerate this anymore.”
“Where Is the Case File?” – Blessing Questions Legal Grounds
In a follow-up post, Blessing CEO raised concerns about the lack of formal charges or a case file, questioning why IVD was arrested without proper documentation.
She also revealed that IVD had only recently replaced his missing passport, which had been lost for two years, and emphasized that there was no travel restriction or court order barring him from leaving the country.
“How can someone be arrested without an official charge or statement?” she asked. “The police say he’ll be in custody till Monday, but there’s no case file, no charge — nothing.”
Allegations of Power Play and Emotional Manipulation
The relationship coach further alleged that IVD has been pressured, emotionally manipulated, and subjected to threats since the domestic violence case began three years ago.
“This is not justice; this is abuse of power,” she claimed. “They have continued to emotionally torture him with no resolution.”
Background
IVD became a trending topic in 2022 after the tragic death of his wife, Bimbo, following a highly publicized case of alleged domestic violence. While police investigations have continued, public opinion has remained divided, and legal proceedings have seen delays and complications.
Blessing CEO has remained one of IVD’s most vocal defenders, even revealing their relationship publicly in the aftermath of the case, a move that drew widespread backlash.
