Benue Assembly Speaker Aondona Dajoh Resigns

The Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Aondona Dajoh, has stepped down from his position.

In a handwritten letter dated August 24, 2025, and posted on his Facebook page with the caption “Let there be peace”, Dajoh announced his resignation, describing it as a decision made “in good faith and in the best interest of the state.”

He expressed gratitude to his colleagues for entrusting him with the role of “first among equals” and assured that he would continue to serve diligently as a legislator, focusing on the representation of his Gboko West State Constituency.
