The Dangote Refinery has increased its ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from ₦820 to ₦850 per litre.
The National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Abubakar Maigandi, confirmed the development in an interview on Friday, noting that the fresh ₦30 increase comes as the refinery resumes petrol sales after suspending supply last week.
“The new ex-depot price of petrol at the refinery is ₦850 per litre,” Maigandi said.
The new price means petroleum marketers and retailers will now pay more to source petrol from the 650,000-barrel-per-day Dangote Refinery.
Meanwhile, between last weekend and Monday, petroleum marketers — including the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited — had increased their pump prices to ₦955 per litre in Abuja before bringing them down to ₦900.
Currently, filling stations such as Ranoil, AA Rano, and Empire Energy are dispensing petrol in the Federal Capital Territory at prices ranging between ₦950 and ₦955 per litre.
