Georgia rapper T-Hood has reportedly been shot and killed at the age of 33.
According to TMZ, Gwinnett County police officers responded to reports of a dispute that escalated into a shooting at the rapper’s home. First responders provided aid on the scene before transporting him to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities confirmed that one person has been detained in connection with the shooting. The motive remains unclear, and the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
T-Hood, whose real name was Tevin Hood, was mourned by his producer, Deddotwill, who wrote on Instagram:
“We was just on the phone all day, I can’t believe you are gone. Rest in peace T-Hood, I love you brother.”
His death comes just weeks after he posted an eerie Instagram video dressed as a ghost in a graveyard to promote his song Grave Diggerz. In the clip, he wore a white sheet over his head and told viewers:
“Hello, are you still alive? We are dead down at the cemetery. Come down to the cemetery, I have a spot for you. All you have to do is die. Just die today.”
T-Hood was a notable figure in the Southern rap scene, known for tracks like Ready 2 Go, Big Booty, and Perculator. His final release, Girls in the Party, dropped in May.
