Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has revealed that she no longer feels the need to prove anything to fans in the music industry.
Ayra Starr explained that her focus has shifted, and she now only strives to prove things to herself.
Speaking in a recent interview with BBC Radio 1xtra, London, the Grammy-nominated star said her new outlook is also shaping the type of music she creates.
“I’m in a very comfortable place where I don’t see the need to prove myself to anybody other than myself.
“I released my song ‘Hot Body’ because I feel like this is the right time. I’m in the right headspace. I feel good. Right now, my body is better than I have ever felt.
“I didn’t just release it because it sounds good. Look what the hot body can do, that’s exactly how I feel,” she expressed.
