American singer and actress Selena Gomez has expressed optimism about becoming a mother someday, despite her health challenges.
The 33-year-old star previously revealed that due to her battle with lupus, carrying a child herself could endanger her life. However, in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Gomez shared that she is embracing alternative paths to motherhood.
“I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me,” she said.
While she acknowledged that raising a child through surrogacy or adoption might “look a little different,” Selena Gomez was quick to add, “I don’t care. It’ll be my baby.”
The actress and singer, who got engaged to music producer Benny Blanco in December 2024, has long been open about her health struggles and continues to inspire fans with her resilience and honesty.
