Actress and model Julia Fox has revealed that she now identifies as pansexual, one year after publicly coming out as a lesbian.
In a candid interview with Allure published on Tuesday, the Uncut Gems star, 35, explained that her attraction is not limited by gender. “I could be attracted to anyone and anything,” she said, noting that while she is “more attracted to the female body physically,” she sometimes finds herself drawn to “a man’s mind” because she is “a vibes person.”
Fox admitted she has “never gotten to full relationship status” with a woman, though she has “definitely had crushes and done some stuff.” Despite this, she made it clear that she no longer feels men add value to her life, saying she “can’t see why a man would be beneficial” and doesn’t miss them “at all.”
The actress emphasized that her focus is now on raising her 4-year-old son, Valentino, whom she shares with ex-husband Peter Artemiev, and on pursuing her career and dreams.
In July 2024, Fox came out as a lesbian via TikTok, jokingly apologizing to men while admitting she had previously dated them despite not being genuinely interested. She also revealed at the time that she had been celibate for two years.
Reflecting on why it took her longer to fully embrace her queerness, the Down the Drain author said women are often “programmed to perform for men” and that much of her survival once depended on men taking care of her.
Fox, who famously dated rapper Kanye West in 2022, now says those days are behind her, vowing not to “entertain” men anymore as she fully embraces her identity.
