Former U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is set to release a new book titled “107 Days” on September 23, offering a revealing behind-the-scenes account of her historic — and brief — campaign for the presidency.
Announced via her social media platforms, Harris said the book will explore parts of her journey the public didn’t see, emphasizing the lessons learned during the shortest presidential campaign in modern history.
“What the world saw on the campaign trail was only a part of the story,” Harris wrote.
The book, to be published by Simon & Schuster, is expected to shed light on the political, personal, and emotional aspects of her 2024 run, which ended in defeat to former President Donald Trump. In a video accompanying the announcement, Harris reflected:
“I believe there is value in sharing what I saw, what I learned, and what I know it will take to move forward. In writing this book, one truth kept coming back to me: sometimes the fight takes a while.”
Since her concession, Harris has kept a low public profile, reportedly working closely with longtime advisors and allies as she contemplates her political future.
“107 Days” is likely to become a pivotal political memoir heading into the 2026 midterm election cycle — offering insight into a historic candidacy and a woman still at the center of America’s political conversation.
