Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold has opened up about the cause of her long-standing rift with fellow actress Destiny Etiko, revealing it was fueled by rumours.
In a heartfelt Instagram post celebrating Etiko’s birthday, Lizzy disclosed that the misunderstanding lasted for two years before they reconciled.
She admitted missing their friendship during the period, noting that she does not easily make friends.
She praised Etiko’s natural ability to connect with people and expressed gratitude that they were able to put past misunderstandings behind them.
Addressing rumour mongers in the film industry, Lizzy said they have grown beyond gossip and now choose to ignore negativity.
“Destiny, you have a beautiful soul and are one of the few people who understand me. I love you for who you are. I love your imperfections,” she wrote, while praying for more blessings and protection over Etiko’s life.
Lizzy ended her tribute with a plea for their renewed friendship to remain unaffected by gossip.
