Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has expressed disappointment over the lack of concern from her Instagram followers while she was ill for three days.
In a video shared on her page, the actress revealed that during her absence, only one Instagram user, identified as @patcollections, reached out to check on her well-being. Nkechi noted that the experience opened her eyes to the reality that most social media interactions are superficial.
She said that while her comment section is usually flooded whenever she announces a giveaway, no one seemed to care about her health until she spoke up again.
“Three whole days I was offline on Instagram. Nobody send my father, nobody even say ah, NBS where have you been, except one person @patcollections. She said ‘Mama, na two days ago you post last, hope everything is fine,’” she said.
The actress disclosed that she is recovering and announced a special gift for the loyal follower — a luxury bag and ₦100,000 cash.
According to her, future giveaways will now be strictly reserved for fans who genuinely value her, not those who only show up when money or gifts are involved.
“Please all the rest of you keep your fake love. This time around I just won’t do giveaway because I have, it’s for people wey actually get sense and wey need am, wey go collect my money or anything I am giving out moving forward,” Nkechi added.
The mother of one concluded by stressing the importance of living for oneself, noting that once a person is gone, people quickly move on with their lives.
