The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has slashed its premium motor spirit (PMS) pump price in Abuja, CREEBHILLS reports.
Checks by the publication confirmed that NNPCL retail stations in the Federal Capital Territory, including mega station Danziyal Plaza, Central Area, Wuse Zone 4, Wuse Zone 6, and other outlets, have adjusted their price from ₦945 to ₦890 per litre.
The review represents a ₦55 reduction.
“It was reduced to ₦890 per litre this afternoon, down from ₦945,” an NNPCL attendant confirmed.
This comes shortly after MRS Empire Energy also cut its fuel prices on Thursday to ₦885 and ₦946 per litre from ₦910 and ₦955 respectively.
The latest round of price drops is linked to Dangote Refinery’s recent ₦30 cut in its ex-depot petrol price—from ₦850 to ₦820 per litre—alongside fluctuations in the global crude oil market.
