South African media personality Pabi Moloi has officially ended her stint at Power 98.7, where she hosted the weekday Power Lunch show.
The seasoned broadcaster confirmed her resignation via social media, marking the close of yet another chapter in her celebrated career.
“Hi friends. I resigned from Power FM last month. I look forward to this new chapter,” she shared with fans.
Pabi joined Power FM in June 2023 after her exit from 947, and her lunchtime show quickly became a favourite for its engaging conversations with industry experts, media figures, and everyday listeners. For more than a year, she used the platform to tackle lifestyle topics as well as pressing social issues.
Even after leaving Power FM, her career shows no signs of slowing down. In July 2025, she took on a new role as host of SABC3’s reality series, The Insurance Apprentice, which she described as “an exciting and rewarding experience” that allows her to engage with dynamic young professionals shaping the future of the insurance industry.
Earlier this year, Pabi and her brother Khabane also launched their podcast, A Brother and A Sister, giving fans a more intimate and relaxed side of her media journey.
At 41, Pabi Moloi remains one of South Africa’s most recognisable media personalities. With nearly two decades of experience across major platforms such as SABC and MultiChoice, she has built an impressive reputation while also being a sought-after MC for corporate events.
Reflecting on her journey, she told DRUM magazine:
“I’m very fortunate. I’ve never not had a job. I’ve been on television concurrently with radio, pretty much my entire career. It has taken the last two or three years for me to realise, ‘Oh, I think I want to build something for myself.’”
Her time at Power FM may have ended, but for her loyal fans, Pabi Moloi’s next chapter is just beginning — and it promises to be as impactful as ever.
