Shooting Stars assistant coach, Akin Olowokere, tragically slumped and died on Monday morning.
Olowokere, one of the recently appointed coaches at Shooting Stars, collapsed while in action at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode during the team’s training for Matchday 2 of the ValueJet Cup 2025.
Medical attention was provided immediately, and he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital, but he could not be revived.
The former Sunshine Stars player and coach joined the Oluyole Warriors after the NPFL club parted ways with the Gbenga Ogunbote-led coaching crew.
