Pastor Abel Damina, founder of Power City International Ministry, has called on men to take full financial responsibility in their homes.
The clergyman stated that the trend of men sharing bills with their wives does not align with biblical teachings. While he acknowledged that splitting expenses may seem economically practical, he maintained that it goes against scripture.
Speaking during a recent episode of the ÷234 Mzansi Podcast, co-hosted by actor Ani Chinedu Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu Wozabia, Pastor Damina stressed that any financial contribution from women in the family should be voluntary, not compulsory.
“Any man who is insisting on 50/50 [splitting bills] with his wife is not acting Bible. He is not operating scripture. It [splitting bills] might be economically convenient, but we’ve got to the word of God,” he said.
