“Stop Stereotyping Nigerians as Yahoo Boys or Villagers” — Pinovibes Sends Strong Message to Hollywood & Western Media

Popular Nigerian philanthropist and CEO of GossipMill, Pinovibes has called out Hollywood and Western media outlets over their constant misrepresentation of Nigerians in movies and global narratives.

In a strongly worded message, Pinovibes stressed that 95% of Nigerians are hardworking people who earn an honest living, and that the majority are not involved in fraud or “Yahoo Yahoo” as often portrayed.

He further criticized the stereotype of Nigerians being shown as “ignorant uncles and aunties from the village, living in huts without basic amenities.”

According to him, Nigerians do have access to modern living, including drinking water and proper infrastructure, and the world must stop pushing misleading narratives.
