Taylor Swift has officially set 3 October as the release date for her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
The pop superstar confirmed the news on X, writing: “And baby, that’s show business for you. New album, The Life of a Showgirl. Out 3 October. Producers: Max Martin, Shellback and Taylor Swift.”
The album will feature 12 tracks, with Sabrina Carpenter appearing on the title track, which also closes the record. Swift is also offering four limited-edition deluxe CD versions, each with exclusive artwork, booklets, photocards, and other extras.
Speculation about the project began in May, when Swift revealed she had regained full ownership of her music catalogue after buying back her final masters from Shamrock Holdings. Fans also dissected a cryptic post in which she stretched the letter “i” exactly 12 times, interpreting it as a nod to her 12th album.
This new release follows her 2024 record The Tortured Poets Department.
