Entertainer and activist Charly Boy has thrown his weight behind Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan following her reinstatement to the National Assembly after a six-month suspension.
On Tuesday, the veteran entertainer shared a photo of the Kogi Central lawmaker on Instagram with a strongly worded caption:
“Una don hear say Senator Natasha don enter National Assembly? You can’t mess with an Alpha woman like dat. It seems like they have exhausted their lies; the only available option is to unseal or face international sanctions. Akpabio, be careful next time, no be all women be ntanta.”
Background to the Suspension
Natasha’s return comes after months of tension with Senate President Godswill Akpabio. In March, she accused Akpabio of sexual harassment — an allegation he denied.
She was later suspended for six months over alleged misconduct unrelated to the harassment claim, a decision that sparked public debate about fairness and due process within the Senate.
Natasha’s Defiance
Despite the ban, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan maintained a defiant stance, declaring that she had “no apology to tender.” On Tuesday, her office at the National Assembly was formally unsealed by Deputy Director of the Sergeant-at-Arms, Alabi Adedeji, marking her official return to legislative duties.
Growing Support
Charly Boy’s public show of solidarity has further amplified support for Natasha, with many Nigerians praising her resilience and courage in standing up against what she describes as “injustice and dictatorship” within the Senate.
