Leo Da Silva Slams Nigerians for Policing How Others Should Mourn

Reality TV star and entrepreneur Leo Da Silva has called out Nigerians who try to dictate how people should grieve the loss of a loved one.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Leo reacted to the backlash a content creator received after continuing to post online following the death of his wife. The creator, who often made content with his late wife, explained that staying online was the only way he could provide for his three children.

Leo questioned the moral grounds of those criticizing him, writing:

“This guy makes content with his wife and his wife just died leaving him with 3 kids. Nigerians are telling him to go offline to mourn. He’s telling them he needs to be online so he can feed his family. Who tf are you to tell anyone what to do after they lose their loved one?”

His post struck a chord with many social media users, including a widower who shared how people were also insensitive to him during his grieving period.

Leo’s statement has since sparked conversations online, with many agreeing that grief is a personal journey that should never be policed or judged by outsiders.
