Manchester City have reached an agreement with the Premier League to end their legal dispute over the rules governing associated party transactions (APTs).
In a joint confirmation on Monday, both parties announced that they have “agreed to terminate the proceedings.”
The club has now accepted that the existing APT regulations are “valid and binding,” marking an end to the disagreement that began in February when City challenged amendments to the rules.
APT regulations are designed to ensure fair market value in commercial agreements, particularly those involving organisations linked to club owners, and to prevent inflated deals that could distort competition.
While this case has been settled, City still face a separate and ongoing legal battle, as they have been charged with more than 100 alleged financial breaches by the Premier League.
