Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has responded to online critics after a gym photo of her with a visibly bloated stomach went viral.
Taking to social media, the actress made it clear that her gym visits are about health and fitness, not conforming to unrealistic beauty standards.
“I went to the gym to stay fit and stay healthy, not for fashion show or runway. How I suppose look for gym after a long day abeg? It’s well. Una go soon intensify una attack cus una never see anything!” she wrote.
Nkechi revealed that although she initially wanted to fire back with harsh words, she decided to remain calm after reading supportive comments from fans.
“You really cannot disgrace a woman clothed with so much grace. And to you that took that picture, I leave you in the hands of God; He will judge you accordingly,” she said.
Laughing off the criticism, she added:
“Nkechi trying to stay healthy and fit in the gym is a topic? Lmao, with my big belle with pride. Una go dey alright for real!”
