Former Miss International Nigeria 2024, Perpetual Ukadike, has officially bowed out of her reign while reflecting on her remarkable journey in pageantry.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Perpetual shared stunning photos of herself alongside an emotional note, describing her experience as “transformative.”
“Preparing for Miss International was one of the most transformative moments in my life. There was a lot of uncertainties, fear of the unknown with a crippling weight of self-doubt.
I still prepared to the best of my ability, leaving Nigeria with hope, belief in myself and in God that one way or another, I will make Nigeria proud.
From a country stereotyped to have never placed at Miss International to placing Top 10 and breaking a record as the first African country to win a Missosology Choice Award, we didn’t just make history, we changed the narrative for the future of Nigeria pageantry,” she wrote.
Perpetual expressed gratitude to Miss International Organisation for the opportunity, adding that the experience will remain evergreen in her heart.
Her successor, Faith Ekwebenam, representing Anambra State, emerged as the new Miss International Nigeria 2025 at the grand finale held on Sunday. Ekwebenam will go on to represent Nigeria at the 63rd Miss International pageant slated for November 27, 2025, in Tokyo, Japan.
At the conclusion of the highly competitive national contest, Miss Lagos finished as first runner-up, while Miss Bauchi, Miss Edo, Miss Cross River, and Miss Nasarawa placed second to fifth runners-up.
Ekwebenam’s victory ensures Nigeria’s continuous presence at Miss International, following the strong performance of Perpetual Ukadike at the 2024 edition.
Meanwhile, in another historic win for Anambra State, Onyinyechi Basil was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 in a separate pageant held in Lagos, cementing Anambra’s dominance in Nigeria’s beauty queen scene.
The Miss International pageant, one of the world’s prestigious “Big Four” competitions, goes beyond beauty, focusing on cultural exchange, global advocacy, and promoting goodwill across nations.
