The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to begin preparing his handover note, insisting that Nigerians are not willing to grant him a second term in 2027.
Speaking at the PDP state secretariat in Yola on Friday, the party’s Organising Secretary in Adamawa State, Hamza Madagali, said Nigerians have lost patience with the current administration.
Madagali accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of lacking direction and failing the country, adding that citizens are now wiser and determined not to “gamble with the future of their children.”
He noted that the PDP’s recent ward congresses in Adamawa demonstrated the party’s unity and readiness to return to power, while the composition of the APC’s National Convention committees signaled that the ruling party’s time in power was nearing its end.
“Nigerians are wiser now; they now know the difference between original and fake. The only way out is to return the PDP back to power,” Madagali declared.
The PDP maintains that it is positioning itself as the credible alternative for Nigerians who are dissatisfied with Tinubu’s government ahead of the 2027 elections.
