Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, 35, and pop icon Taylor Swift, 35, are officially engaged, sending fans into a frenzy worldwide.
The couple, who began dating in the summer of 2023, shared the joyful news on August 26 with a joint Instagram post that quickly went viral. Swift captioned the photo of Kelce down on one knee in a vibrant garden: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
The 3-time Super Bowl champion confirmed the milestone in a teaser for Wednesday’s episode of his New Heights podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce.
“Travis, we’ve got to talk about it,” Jason said in the clip. “In case you missed the Instagram post heard around the world, Travis and Taylor are engaged!”
“That’s right,” Travis replied, before gushing over his bride-to-be. “I appreciate everybody that reached out and sent something, and all the posts, all the excitement that’s been going on. It’s been really fun telling everybody who I’m going to be spending the rest of my life with.”
The engagement marks another major chapter in the high-profile romance that has captivated both the NFL and pop music worlds since the pair went public last year.
