President Bola Tinubu has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has delivered on the promise of change it made to Nigerians a decade ago.
Speaking on Tuesday during a book launch and project commissioning in Imo State, Tinubu dismissed critics of his administration, arguing that they “do not understand mathematics.”
“Ten years ago, our great party, the APC, came into office with the promise of change. That change is being witnessed here today,” he said.
“The old ways brought our nation close to collapse. We broke the jinx. Nigeria is no longer where it was 10 years ago; we have passed that. We promised change, and today I can confidently tell you that the worst is over.”
Tinubu added that detractors misinterpret his government’s policies because “their arithmetic has always been wrong,” insisting that his team understands “financial engineering and progressive methodology” better than the opposition.
However, many Nigerians strongly disagree, arguing that the ten years of APC rule have been marked by economic hardship, inflation, and widespread suffering, contrary to the president’s claims.
