Busola Dakolo, wife of Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo, has announced that she has officially begun her doctorate journey and is seeking prayers and support from Nigerians as she embarks on the new academic pursuit.
Taking to her Instagram page on Thursday, the photographer and entrepreneur wrote:
“Wish me well. I decided to pursue a doctorate degree. I can and I will.”
Her husband, Timi Dakolo, proudly reacted in the comment section, saying:
“A very very proud husband.”
Actress Juliet Ibrahim also cheered her on with the comment, “You’ve got this girl.”
The post attracted numerous congratulatory messages from fans and well-wishers who commended Busola for her determination and commitment to personal growth.
Busola Dakolo holds a degree in Geology and Mineral Resources from the University of Ilorin and a diploma in photography from the New York Film Academy. She is also the founder of SkillsKitchen, a training initiative that empowers women and young people with practical, income-generating skills.
In 2019, Busola came into the national spotlight after accusing COZA founder Biodun Fatoyinbo of sexual assault — a revelation that sparked widespread conversations about accountability and sexual abuse within Nigerian religious institutions.
Busola and Timi Dakolo tied the knot in 2012 and are blessed with three children.
