Rashford Expresses Desire to Make Barcelona Move Permanent

Marcus Rashford Scores First Barcelona Goals in Champions League Win at Newcastle

England winger Marcus Rashford has expressed his delight at life in Barcelona, confirming that he would be open to making his loan move from Manchester United permanent.

The 27-year-old forward joined Barcelona on loan during the summer transfer window, with the Spanish club holding an option to sign him permanently next summer for £28 million.

Rashford’s departure from United came after manager Ruben Amorim made it clear that he no longer featured in his plans at Old Trafford. The winger had reportedly spent the summer seeking a move to the La Liga champions.

Since arriving in Spain, Rashford has made a strong start, recording five goals and four assists in 12 appearances for the Catalan side this season.

Speaking to ESPN, Rashford expressed his enthusiasm about continuing his career at the Camp Nou:

“Oh yeah, for sure. I’m enjoying this football club and I think for anybody who loves football, Barcelona is one of the key clubs in the history of the game. For a player, it’s an honour.”

Reflecting on his long spell at Manchester United, Rashford acknowledged that it was time for a new chapter in his career:

“It was so many years in one place. People forget this, but 24 years, 23 years of my life was with Manchester United. So sometimes you just need a change. I think maybe this is the case with me and yeah, I’m enjoying everything.”

Rashford’s performances under Hansi Flick have already made him a fan favourite in Barcelona, with growing speculation that the club will trigger the option to make his move permanent next summer.
