Suzanne Hinn’s marriage to renowned faith-healer Benny Hinn has officially come to an end for the second time in their 46-year relationship. Court records from Hillsborough County, Florida—first reported by the Trinity Foundation—confirm that the couple’s union was dissolved in an uncontested divorce on Nov. 19.
Suzanne had filed for divorce in the summer of 2024, at a time when the pair were already living separately in homes more than 60 miles apart. According to Benny Hinn’s attorney, Damon Chase, the evangelist did not initiate the divorce. Chase emphasized that the split was amicable and insisted the couple remains emotionally close.
“Benny Hinn and Suzanne Hinn still love each other with a deep, profound soulmate type of love, and they always have for years and years and years. They just got divorced. It was personal feelings. It was something personal to them, but they did what they felt was right,” Chase said.
“They’re still very much in each other’s lives. And will always be in each other’s lives.”
Chase stressed that the divorce stemmed from undisclosed personal reasons, noting that the former couple still prays together and remains committed to Christian ministry.
“There is no end of the relationship. They both love each other very much,” he told CP, adding that the process was “extremely amicable.”
This marks the second time the Hinns have legally separated. Their first divorce occurred in February 2010, when Suzanne filed in Orange County, California, citing “irreconcilable differences” after three decades of marriage. The pair, first married on Aug. 4, 1979, share four children.
Their initial split was followed by controversy. In 2010, the National Enquirer published photos of Benny Hinn leaving a hotel with televangelist Paula White, alleging the two had spent multiple nights together at a luxury hotel booked under an alias. Hinn denied any wrongdoing, telling followers there was “no immorality whatsoever” and explaining that the trip to Rome had been connected to his role as a Patron of the Arts for the Vatican. He said he invited White in hopes she would contribute financially to preserving the Vatican’s art collection.
“That was stupid on my part. And for that, I do ask forgiveness,” he told his audience.
In 2012, Benny and Suzanne reconciled, with Benny Hinn attributing the earlier divorce largely to his wife’s long-term dependence on prescription medications. He later explained that her struggle with certain medications had caused emotional and behavioral challenges he had not fully understood. The couple remarried in 2013 at the Holyland Experience in Orlando before an audience of 1,000.
Their latest split now marks the conclusion of a decades-long relationship defined by ministry partnership, public scrutiny, reconciliation and, ultimately, a second separation.
