Barcelona is officially heading back to the Spotify Camp Nou this Sunday after receiving the 1B occupancy license, allowing the club to reopen the stadium to fans for the first time since renovation works began.
The match against Athletic Club on 22nd November will now be played at the iconic stadium, with a temporary capacity of 45,401 spectators approved for use.
The club is also coordinating with UEFA to explore the possibility of hosting the upcoming Frankfurt clash at Spotify Camp Nou. Most of the required standards have already been met, but Barcelona is still awaiting final confirmation from European football’s governing body.
This marks a major milestone in Barça’s phased return to their rebuilt home ground.
