The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the AFCON Morocco 2025 Local Organising Committee have confirmed that fans travelling to next year’s tournament will be eligible for free electronic visas.
CAF disclosed the update in a statement on its website on Friday, noting that citizens of countries that typically require a visa to enter Morocco will benefit from the initiative.
According to the announcement, “Electronic visas to enter Morocco — obtained through the YALLA app — are now free of charge for supporters attending the competition, which runs from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026,”CAF said.
The football body explained that the move comes as global interest in Africa’s biggest football event continues to surge, with more fans securing their tickets. Fan identification will be mandatory for entry into all stadiums and official fan zones.
CAF added that “CAF Supporters can apply for both the Fan ID and e-visa in one place inside the YALLA app, streamlining travel and stadium access.
“The Fan ID application and e-visa request are completed seamlessly within the YALLA app, ensuring a faster, easier, and secure experience for international visitors and local fans alike.”
To apply, supporters will need to download the YALLA app via Google Play, the App Store, or visit the YALLA website. They must then complete the Fan ID form and, where applicable, the e-visa request. Once approved, fans can purchase match tickets through the CAF ticketing platform.
CAF noted that the new measures aim to deliver a smooth and secure fan experience for Africa’s premier football tournament, which will be played across nine stadiums in six Moroccan cities.
Reaffirming its commitment, CAF stated that “CAF, with support from the LOC, reaffirms its commitment to delivering a world-class spectator experience throughout Africa’s greatest football celebration.”
So far, 298,000 tickets have been sold during the first two sales phases, with purchases coming from fans in 33 African nations and 106 countries worldwide.
AFCON Morocco 2025 will run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026 across nine stadiums in six host cities.
