The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially unveiled the match ball for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to be hosted by Morocco.
The newly designed ball, named ITRI, draws inspiration from Morocco’s centuries-old zellij art form, reflecting the nation’s rich cultural heritage. The name ITRI also pays tribute to the star featured on the Moroccan flag, symbolizing unity and brilliance.
According to CAF, the ITRI ball will make its debut during the opening match of the tournament, when hosts Moroccoface Comoros.
The AFCON 2025 finals are scheduled to kick off on Sunday, December 21, 2025, marking the start of one of Africa’s most anticipated sporting events.
