Former Chelsea captain John Terry has confessed he is growing “a little worried” that Arsenal could surpass the Premier League record for clean sheets set by Chelsea during the 2004/2005 season.
Before their 2-2 draw at Sunderland on Saturday, Arsenal had conceded only three goals in the league — putting them on course to challenge Chelsea’s long-standing 15 clean sheets record achieved under José Mourinho’s first tenure at Stamford Bridge.
“I have to say I’m actually a little bit worried now,” John Terry admitted in a TikTok video, noting that he’s been following Arsenal’s fixtures closely.
“I have to give them credit — they look very good at the moment. I still think it’s going to be too much to beat our record, but being honest, I’m a little nervous,” he added.
Arsenal’s solid backline has been one of the defining features of their campaign, fueling hopes of a serious Premier League title challenge this season.
