Fashion entrepreneur Sophia Momodu has opened up about why she no longer posts pictures of her daughter, Imade Adeleke, on social media.
The 38-year-old made the revelation on Snapchat while responding to a fan who asked why her pre-teen daughter had been missing from her online posts. The fan wrote, “To post Imade na war.”
Sophia replied,
“Real battle. I find that I’ve become even more protective as she’s growing.”
Imade Adeleke is the daughter of singer Davido and Sophia Momodu. Though the couple separated years ago, both continue to prioritize their daughter’s welfare. Sophia has also mentioned that having another child is currently not on her agenda.
In June, following Imade’s 10th birthday celebration, Sophia addressed public commentary on her parenting, stating,
“I have repeatedly said that I do not care about whatever is being said about me.”
The birthday reunion between Sophia and Davido drew significant attention online, shining a light on the complexities of co-parenting under public scrutiny.
