Reality TV star and entrepreneur Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has made history as Guinness World Records officially confirmed that she broke two new world records — the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and in 24 hours.
The record-breaking feat took place at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History in Lagos, where Tacha began her marathon makeup session at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, working tirelessly through the night into the following day.
The event was closely monitored by Guinness officials, independent witnesses, and makeup professionals to ensure every transformation met global verification standards.
Reflecting on her achievement, Tacha expressed gratitude to her late mother, her team, and her loyal fan base — the Titans.
“I felt my mummy holding my shoulders when my knees were shaking. I carried her strength into that room and I didn’t stop,” she said.
Appreciating her team’s effort, she added:
“We didn’t just work! We warred.”
She also paid tribute to her fans, saying:
“When the world wrote me off, when I was blacklisted for being real, you held me up. Because you don’t stop, I will never stop.”
Tacha described herself as the first Nigerian to break two Guinness World Records in one sitting, joining the ranks of other Nigerian record-holders such as Hilda Baci.
She hinted that the celebration of her achievement would coincide with her upcoming birthday, calling it “the best gift secured.”
The official Guinness World Records account confirmed the milestone on Tuesday, writing:
“Congratulations to @Symply_Tacha who set TWO new @GWR titles for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours AND 24 hours.”
Recall that Tacha first completed her record attempt earlier in October 2024, performing 145 makeovers within 24 hours — the highest number ever achieved globally.
