Wolverhampton Wanderers have announced the dismissal of manager Vitor Pereira, just a day after their 3–0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage.
The loss continued Wolves’ dismal start to the campaign — the club remains winless after 10 league games, having collected just two points so far.
Pereira’s dismissal also follows their 4–3 Carabao Cup exit to Chelsea earlier in the week, compounding the pressure on the Portuguese coach.
With the team now eight points adrift of safety, the Wolves hierarchy opted to make a change in an effort to turn around their fortunes.
The decision comes only 45 days after Pereira signed a new three-year deal, underscoring the scale of disappointment at Molineux.
Under the former Porto and Fenerbahçe boss, Wolves have endured one of their worst starts in recent history and are currently the only winless team across England’s top four divisions.
The club is expected to announce an interim manager in the coming days as they look to stabilise their season.
