Nigeria’s Super Eagles will earn $5,000 for every goal scored at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, according to reports.
SCORENigeria revealed that the incentive is part of the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) strategy to boost players’ morale at the tournament. The NFF, in collaboration with the sports ministry, had earlier introduced similar incentives during the 2026 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers.
Eric Chelle’s team already pocketed $10,000 following their victory over Tanzania’s Taifa Stars on Tuesday and will be hoping to add to that tally in tonight’s Group C clash against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
The match kicks off at 9:00 pm Nigerian time.
