Beyoncé and Nicole Kidman have been unveiled as co-chairs of the 2026 Met Gala, one of fashion’s most prestigious annual events.
The global music icon and the award-winning actress will lead next year’s edition of the star-studded fundraiser alongside tennis legend Venus Williams and longtime Met Gala organiser Anna Wintour.
The announcement follows the recent unveiling of the 2026 Gala theme, “Costume Art,” which will explore the relationship between clothing and the human body.
The event will mark Beyoncé’s return to the Met Gala for the first time in ten years. She last attended in 2016, turning heads in a custom Givenchy Haute Couture gown. Kidman and Williams, however, have been frequent attendees, including at the 2025 gala themed Superfine.
Organisers also confirmed that Zoë Kravitz and fashion designer Anthony Vaccarello will co-chair the Host Committee for the 2026 event. Additional committee members include Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Elizabeth Debicki, and Lena Dunham, among others.
Next year’s all-female leadership contrasts sharply with the previous edition, which featured an all-male co-host lineup of A$AP Rocky, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, and Pharrell Williams.
The 2026 theme carries major significance for the Met and the Costume Institute. The accompanying exhibition—featuring both historic and contemporary designs—will be the first to be displayed in the museum’s newly created Condé M. Nast Galleries.
The 2026 Met Gala is set to take place on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
