The Edo State House of Assembly has summoned lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, wife of music star 2Baba, over alleged misconduct linked to their recent public altercation in London.
During Tuesday’s plenary, Speaker Blessing Agbebaku said Natasha’s name had been “trending negatively in the media,” warning that her actions were “dragging the House into disrepute.” She has been directed to appear before the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges within one week, with the committee expected to submit its report in two weeks.
Natasha, a granddaughter of businessman Gabriel Igbinedion, has been under intense public scrutiny following a viral video of her and 2Baba at London’s Gatwick Airport.
The footage, which circulated widely on Monday, showed police intervening after what appeared to be a heated exchange between the couple. Security officers were later seen handcuffing the singer.
2Baba’s former manager, Kaka Igbokwe, confirmed the authenticity of the video during an Instagram Live session with Daddy Freeze. According to him, the trouble began shortly after the couple arrived in London. Fans reportedly pulled 2Baba into a shop, leaving Natasha behind, which led to a dispute that escalated into police involvement.
The saga took a new turn hours later during another Instagram Live session hosted by Daddy Freeze. Several of the singer’s former managers joined the broadcast, alleging that Natasha was exerting unhealthy control over 2Baba.
One of them said: “That outburst was pure rage, from zero to 1000… same rage, same screaming.”
The session ended abruptly when loud shouting—believed to be between 2Baba and Natasha—was heard in the background, prompting the singer to cut the broadcast.
