Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (retd), has said his rise to national leadership was the result of divine intervention, insisting that God elevated him despite overwhelming odds.
Musa made the remark during a church service at Conquerors Global Assembly in Abuja, where he shared a personal testimony about his journey over the past year.
Speaking to the congregation, the minister said God remained faithful even when adversaries believed they had succeeded against him.
“We give God the glory for what has happened this year. Even when the enemy thought they were putting us down, they did not know God was going to lift us up,” he said.
Musa added that conspiracies against him failed because of divine backing, noting that challenges are necessary for growth and strength.
“As long as you have God as your pillar, you will win. If you are never challenged, you can never improve in life,” he stated.
He encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful and united, stressing that the country is stronger when its people rely on God.
The defence minister also cautioned against constantly speaking negatively about Nigeria, warning that such attitudes hinder national development.
“If you continue to talk down on your country, you don’t mean well,” he said, urging Christians to reflect their faith through positive actions and continued prayers for the nation and its leaders.
