Early Life and Education
Hannah Karema (born January 1, 2003, 23 years old) in Nakaseke District, Uganda. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tumukunde, who are her pillars of support.
Hannah attended Seroma Christian High School and Hana International School. Later, she pursued higher education at Makerere University in Kampala. Her trip there, however, was not fun, but it made her more passionate about advocacy and empowerment.
Career
Back in 2020, Hannah Karema started her modeling career and, within a short period of time, made a name for herself, later being crowned Miss Uganda 2023-2024, the successor to Elizabeth Bagaya.
At the 71st Miss World India 2024, representing Uganda, she was among the Top 8 finalists. Apart from this, she also won Beauty With A Purpose for Africa and was 1st Runner-Up Miss World Africa.
Most of the project’s emphasis was on keeping girls in school by providing essential menstrual hygiene supplies.
In 2025, she inaugurated the Hannah Karema Foundation with the mission to empower women, prevent early marriage of girls, and facilitate education and skills development.
