Tacha Akide has weighed in on the viral restaurant incident involving a lady who criticised a man for collecting her number but refusing to pay for her meal.
The media personality, speaking on Instagram, said men who are interested in a woman must be willing to impress her — or stay away.
According to Tacha, the lady in the viral story did nothing wrong, insisting that any man making advances should be prepared to take responsibility.
“Earlier, a lady blasted a man who collected her number at a restaurant but failed to pay for her food. Because as a man, you need to be able to impress. If you’re not going to impress, I’m sorry, just keep your distance,” she said.
She added that the woman was clearly capable of paying for her own meal, but courtesy demands that a man trying to woo her should extend the gesture.
“If you’re going to approach her, ask for her number, you should be able to at least pay for your own food and pay for her own food. And you must do it now,” she stated.
Tacha went on to compare courtship in humans to behaviour in the animal kingdom, noting that male animals often go the extra mile to attract females.
“Go and watch Nat Geo Wilde. You’re going to see the bird bringing food to the female bird, performing, dancing with his friends. And if she’s not impressed enough, she’s going to fly off. So if birds can clock it, how about you?” she said.
The reality star and Guinness World Record holder added that men should not approach her in public if they are not prepared to make an impression.
“If you see me at a restaurant or you see me at a club as a Guinness World Record holder two times, if you’re not going to buy me a bottle, I’m sorry. Don’t come close to me,” she said.
