Temi Otedola and singer Mr Eazi have opened up about the intense stress, disagreements, and back-and-forth involved in choosing the countries for their destination weddings.
The couple revealed that planning three weddings across three different countries within just three months was far from easy, describing the experience as overwhelming.
“Three weddings in three months is insane,” they admitted, noting that the tight timeline and constant travel added significant pressure to the process.
Temi explained that their initial plan was to have a quiet court wedding in Nigeria, but privacy concerns quickly surfaced.
“If we went to the courthouse in Nigeria, it wouldn’t be as private as we wanted,” she said.
At one point, an alternative idea was raised — bringing court officials into their home for a private civil ceremony. While Temi found the idea appealing, Mr Eazi was not fully on board, leading to further disagreements and reconsiderations.
That moment pushed the couple back to the drawing board, forcing them to explore other options.
They eventually settled on Monaco for their civil wedding, a decision Temi described as deeply sentimental. Although the United Kingdom was also considered, she admitted it didn’t feel personal enough to her.
Beyond location choices, the couple said what truly surprised them was the volume of administrative work involved in getting married.
“I thought getting married was just deciding and signing papers,” Temi said. “I didn’t know there was a mountain of administration.”
Despite the challenges, the couple successfully pulled off their weddings, turning a stressful process into memorable celebrations across multiple countries.
