Popular Nigerian music stars Adekunle Kosoko, better known as Adekunle Gold, and his wife, Simi, have welcomed twins, marking a new chapter in their growing family.
The award-winning singer shared the joyful news on her Snapchat story on Wednesday, confirming the arrival of the babies and expressing gratitude for the double blessing.
“Asked God for another child and he blessed me double,” she wrote.
Although the couple has yet to reveal the gender of the twins, the announcement has triggered an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fans, fellow celebrities, and colleagues within the music industry.
Speculation about the pregnancy had gained momentum in December after Simi shared a video on Instagram with the caption, “From my baby, for my babies.” The video, which showed her with a visible baby bump, sparked widespread excitement and anticipation among fans.
The news comes shortly after Simi drew attention to a scene from Adekunle Gold’s newly released music video, My Love is the Same, further fueling conversations about the couple.
Adekunle Gold and Simi, who got married in 2019 after years of friendship and musical collaboration, are widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most admired celebrity couples. Both artists were formerly signed to X3M Music before rising to mainstream success.
The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare Kosoko, affectionately known as Deja, in May 2020.
