Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly requested no direct contact with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, amid ongoing family tensions.
According to a Daily Mail report on Thursday, the 26-year-old chef and his parents exchanged letters last summer, but all communication was conducted exclusively through their respective legal representatives.
The report claims Brooklyn formally requested that his parents refrain from contacting him directly or making public statements about him on social media. Instead, he allegedly asked that any communication be handled through his lawyers.
Sources say the decision followed Brooklyn’s frustration over media briefings concerning his wife, actress Nicola Peltz.
The briefings reportedly implied that he was being “controlled” by Peltz and described him as a “hostage,” characterisations he found offensive.
“David was told to speak to them via [law firm] Schillings,” a source told the outlet. “That was the only way for them to communicate.”
The Beckham family has not publicly commented on the report, but speculation about strained relations between Brooklyn and his parents has persisted in recent months.
