Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has agreed to a new long-term contract that will see him remain at the Emirates Stadium well into the next decade and earn a significant pay rise, placing him among the club’s highest-paid players.
The fresh agreement is part of Arsenal’s broader strategy to secure the future of their core squad. In recent months, the club has also tied down key figures such as William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly to new contracts.
Saka’s previous deal was due to run until June 2027, but the improved terms will extend his stay until 2031. The 24-year-old winger has become a cornerstone of Mikel Arteta’s project and a symbol of Arsenal’s long-term ambitions.
Since Arteta took charge in 2019, Saka has played more minutes than any other Arsenal player, underlining his importance to the team. The England international has now made 290 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 77 goals across all competitions.
This season, Saka has continued to deliver, netting seven goals in 27 appearances so far. His influence was particularly evident during Arsenal’s recent title pushes. In the 2023/24 campaign, he produced an outstanding return of 20 goals and 14 assists in all competitions as Arsenal narrowly missed out on the Premier League title, finishing just two points behind Manchester City.
Last season, despite undergoing surgery for a hamstring injury in December 2024 that ruled him out for three months, Saka still managed 12 goals and 13 assists in 37 appearances. In the current campaign, he has already added seven goals and six assists in 27 matches, reinforcing his status as one of the club’s most vital players.
With his future now secured, Arsenal will be hoping Saka continues to play a leading role as they push for major silverware in the seasons ahead.
