Nollywood actress Liz Da Silva has reacted angrily to a video circulating on social media that purportedly shows the lifeless body of singer Destiny Boy, condemning the act of recording and sharing such footage.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, Da Silva criticised those who filmed and circulated the clip, questioning the motive behind recording a deceased person rather than showing empathy and respect.
“This is for those that love to record dead people. What joy do you derive in picking up your phone and recording the lifeless body of someone who is not your relative?” she said.
She added that sharing such images causes further pain to the family of the deceased, who may not yet have seen their loved one.
“Some of his family members have not even seen him and you think they will be happy to see the lifeless body of their person trending on social media? Don’t you have respect for the dead?” she asked.
Reports of Destiny Boy’s death began trending online on Sunday, January 18, 2026, after videos allegedly showing his remains surfaced on various platforms.
The 22-year-old artiste, whose real name is Afeez Adeshina, was known for blending traditional Fuji music with contemporary sounds, earning him a young and devoted following.
Fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry have continued to express shock and sadness over the reports of his passing, while many have echoed calls for respect for his family’s privacy during this period.
As of the time of this report, there has been no official statement from Destiny Boy’s family or management confirming the circumstances or cause of death
