Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has weighed in on the tragic accident that almost claimed boxer Anthony Joshua’s life during his visit to Nigeria.
In a recent video, she criticized the boxer’s mother for allowing the 36-year-old to travel to his hometown for festive celebrations.
Anjorin suggested that Joshua’s visit should have been limited to safer areas such as Lekki or Ikoyi.
“Anthony Joshua’s mother is to blame. She didn’t put her son in a safer place like Lekki or Ikoyi, and instead watched him return to his village for the festivities.
Would a reasonable mother allow her son to go back to that kind of place? Why not somewhere like Ikoyi or Banana Island?” she questioned.
The accident, which occurred in Ogun State, tragically claimed the lives of two of Joshua’s friends, while the boxer narrowly survived.
