President Bola Tinubu has arrived in the United Arab Emirates to participate in the 2026 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week summit.
The President touched down at about 11:00 p.m. local time and was received by the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs.
His Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu is attending the summit at the invitation of the UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
According to Onanuga, the annual global forum brings together political and business leaders from across the world to deliberate on issues bordering on sustainable development.
CREEBHILLS reports that this year’s edition of the summit is themed “The Nexus of Next: All Systems Go.”
Recall that President Tinubu departed Nigeria on December 28, leaving Lagos for what the Presidency described as an end-of-year break in Europe. During the trip, he was seen in France last week, where he met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame.
President Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the week-long summit in Abu Dhabi.
